Welshpool, known as the Gateway to Wales with its shops, inns, restaurants, steam railway and Powis Castle is only 5 miles away and medieval Shrewsbury, Darwin's birthplace, is just 12 miles. Offa's Dyke Path, the quaint town of Montgomery and Ironbridge Gorge Museum are all within easy reach. Golf, fishing and walking locally.
